Conwell Sports Leagues was started with a simple idea: provide laid back leagues for everyday players that are safe and fun. While CSL never turns away real athletes or people who take sports seriously, most of our members are not superstars or blue chippers, but rather everyday players who want to play a game or two, meet some people, and go talk about the game afterward at the local watering hole.

We started the Conwell Sports Leagues with a few simple goals in mind.  We wanted to provide something fun and active for adults to do right here in Auburn/Opelika Alabama.  A place to relieve some stress after a long day at work and to meet up with other awesome people like yourself, while playing games anyone can play.   There are plenty of intramural sports and highly competitive softball leagues but what about the rest of us?  Our league was born in December of 2010 and we will continue to provide highly entertaining, come as you are, fun leagues for every skill level until you make us stop! 

Sports often can be viewed as a way of life, a religion, or a huge business enterprise, but at its core we at CSL believe that for our players, sports should be enjoyable.  The “agony of defeat” is for athletes with sponsorships, not everyday players. If you are a person who plays sports with a laid back attitude, and realizes that even if that cool looking ref totally misses a call (rare) life will still go on.
